Okay, soo...

The bulk of my pre-exam work is fin, therefore I've decided its okay to be blogging occasionally.

So I'll catch up on my friday fill-in-the-blanks from Lauren , shall I?

There's two weeks worth here, by the by.

1. One song that always takes me back to my youth is: S Club 7 - Bring it All Back. (This makes me feel young, but it's true. 1999. My ultimate holiday song :D)

2. My first concert ever was: Hear'say. God, this is getting embarrassing.

3. If I could create my dream music festival I'd want these bands to be there (I'll pick 5 so this doesn't get boring): Florence + The Machine because she's unbelievable, Lady Gaga because everyone can boogy to her, Busted because they were sick, Owl City because I love him and I want to hire him for my personal lullaby-maker, and er...Look Out Henry. Hell, they need the exposure if nothing else.

4. The best make-out/"boot knocking" song ever is: Hmm. Shall we say the music of silence? Yes.

5. The best concert I've ever been to was: I will have to say Hear'say because that's the only one I've ever seen. Ha. Except the Big Dorridge Gig which doesn't count because it was free.

6. A memorable musical moment for me was: This one time, the whole class started singing Greenday- Wake me up when September ends and I just went whoaaaa.

7. The song on my iPod that's getting the most play these days is: Boys Like Girls - Two is Better Than One and Daughtry - September. Idk why. I'm writing sad stories, that's why.

1. My absolute favorite movie of all time is: Moulin Rouge. I could watch it till the cows come home.

2. My favorite movie as a child was: Beauty and the Beast, because she was me and I loved it.

3. The best movie quote ever is from: I don't knoow. I don't remember any of the deep and profound ones.

4. My favorite actress is: That's too hard to think about.

Gosh I'm selling out alot.

5. The movie I could watch over and over: Grease. I know it's cliche but it is JUST FAB. Reminds me of good times, has songs...etc.

6. My favorite movie genre is explosions, very little plot, someone dies at the end, I cry. Popcorn?

7. A movie I'd like to watch this weekend is: I'm watching One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest right now. So that, I suppose.

Challenge Two and that.

So unimpressed, but so in awe
Such a saint, but such a whxre
So self-aware, so full of sh!t
So indecisive, so adamant
I'm contemplating, thinkin' about thinkin'
It's overrated, just get another drink and
Watch me come undone

Challenge TWO
Something that inspires me :)

This is going to sound RUBBISH, but it's sentences. I have a habit of switching off in the middle of conversations, then I tune back in, hear half a sentence, and sometimes (just sometimes) that's enough. Also news stories, isolated subplots from films, random people in the street. Heyy, it's everywhere!

And that.

Ohhh my life. the lyrics up there say alot about it, but also HEADACHE and BRAINACHE and things.

Other People's Things

THIS that everyone seems to be doing, courtesy of Lauren (and yes, I am aware it's not Friday.

1. The first thing I do in the morning is open eyes. Plan outfit (because that saves 5 minutes and therefore you can sleep for an extra five)

2. Every night before bed I have a shower, then pick up a pen and attempt to get some words down.

3. My favorite thing to do when I'm having a bad day is vent it all in a long and incoherent rant in one of my notebooks, read a book, try to go to sleep, realise I haven't vented it enough, write something(s) depressing on the wall in biro, sleep. Alternatively, chocolate.

4. Something that makes me cringe is live TV and bad jokes.

5. Social situations oh good lord, do not get me started. I panic just thinking about them.

6. I like to collect rocks from beaches, postcards from places.

7. Weekends are for working. Saturdays are paid work, sundays are for catching up on homework. Don't talk to me about life.

Secondly THIS, I have no idea where it came from but it looks like good stuff, a challenge a day will at least keep me posting regularly :)

So challenge number one: Guilty pleasure.

That's not even hard, because it's chocolate and it always has been.

(and apparently we aren't doing pictures today. Ah well.)

Tuesday 6 April 2010

It's been

almost 17 hours since I last saw brumtown and my family and I'm a little bit homesick. I miss my snuggling my dog, seeing people I know everywhere, not having to be nice all the time, my bed, my friends, etc, etc, etc. How sad, seriously, you'd think I'd be able to cope.

I'm on a bus.

Somewhere between Cambridge and Milton Keynes. Not the most exotic of destinations, but hey. Cambridge. Woop. Apparently they do wifi on coaches these days, cheers stagecoach.
But hey, I've been on this coach a long, long time. Since half 5 this morning in fact. What was nice was seeing the sun rise, with my ipod in and a pen in my hand. What was not so nice was er...the coach journey. Oh well. I'll live.

At least they have wifi.

It's slow though, hence the lack of a picture.
